At a gala dinner or an award night, the welcome sets the tone for the whole evening. VIP hostesses make sure every guest is greeted by name, guided to the right table and looked after until the last speech. We supply VIP and gala hostesses, and ushers, for evening events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Where VIP hostesses make the difference
Gala dinners. Guest list check at the entrance, a welcome drink, then guiding each guest to the right table.
Award ceremonies. Red carpet arrivals, seating, and making sure winners reach the stage on cue.
Delegation and government visits. Discreet welcome, protocol and guiding senior guests between rooms and sessions.
Launch nights and client receptions. Welcoming invited guests and keeping the VIP area for the people on the list.
What the team takes care of
- Arrivals. Checking names on your list, handing out table cards and keeping the entrance calm.
- Seating. Learning the floor plan, guiding guests to their tables and helping late arrivals find their seats quietly.
- VIP care. A dedicated hostess for your most important guests, from the car to the table and back.
- Coordination. Working with your event manager, the venue team and security on timings and cues.
- Cloakroom and gifts. A coat check, a gift table or take-home bags at the end of the night.
Ushers for big rooms
A ballroom for several hundred guests needs ushers placed at the doors, in the aisles and near the stage. Both female and male ushers are available. For teams of six or more, a team leader takes the cues from your event manager and moves the team as the evening changes.
Briefing for an evening event
Send the final guest list, the seating plan, the names of the VIP guests and the running order before the event. Plan a walkthrough of the room before guests arrive, so every hostess knows the table numbers, the stage steps and the exits. Agree one contact on your side who can make decisions on the night.
Languages and dress code
In Dubai we supply English and Arabic speakers, with other languages on request for international guests. The dress code is set with you, from formal black to your brand colours.
Timing your booking
A week or two is comfortable for most events. For the busy season and for teams of ten or more, book three to four weeks ahead.
